Afghan pine begins as a small pyramidal plant that very much resembles a christmas tree, butlater becomes a more picturesque medium to large coniferuous tree. It is a fast growing pine best adapted to arid zones and alkaline soils. An excellent choice for windbreaks as it retains branches to the ground.
